Playtime
Playtime is important for your chinchilla(s), as they need atleast 1 hour every day outside of their cage.
Doing so, you might want to look in for a chinchilla-proofed room (That means one that doesn't have open vents, no other animals to possibly
hurt your chinchillas -even if they are trained and you swear one would never hurt a chinchilla-, no loose cords, no toxic items, etc.)
Remember to never ever leave your chinchilla alone in a room to run around in unattended. As your chinchilla can get into
as many things as one can.
Chinchillas' are very curious, and when given time to explore, will wreck things, and destroy EVERYTHING, if you don't have stuff protected
or other things removed.
It is very important for your chinchilla's to have a room all quiet. As chinchillas' have very critique hearing, and are very sensitive to sound.
Letting a chinchilla out to play, is great for their excercise - as well as a Flying Saucer, or chinchilla wheel.
If you are going to buy a chinchilla wheel for their excercise too, make sure the wheel is 15" or more. If not more than 15", a chinchilla
will have to force it's back to curve -in an unsafe postion- to fit the wheel. That is very bad for your chinchilla's health.
